Firebase is a backend-as-a-service platform that provides tools for authentication, real-time databases, cloud functions, hosting, and analytics to help developers build and scale apps quickly.
Uses Firebase Cloud Functions to securely send the app’s secret key to the Sonos API and Firebase Hosting to host the redirect URI for authorization callbacks.
Used Firebase to quickly stand up Apple Game Center authentication, allowing players to play with friends and family with very little code. Also, used to host companion website for news, FAQ, and support.
Uses Firebase for cloud functions which enabled subscriptions, universal links for sharing from the app, media storage for storing pottery photos, and a database of user accounts so that they can back up and sync data between devices.
Implemented hosting for an Astro framework project using Firebase Hosting and integrated custom domain DNS records.
